Vienna International Airport doesn't have the biggest hub in Europe, but it has, according to the Priority Pass Excellence Awards, the continent's best lounge - for the third year running. The award is based on more than 700,000 passenger reviews across the network, which makes Vienna Lounge's win less a one-off and more a track record.

The lounge sits on Level 2 of Terminal 1, past security and in front of passport control, serving gates C and D directly, with a shuttle connecting it to gates F and G. At 2,500 square meters and 450 seats, it's the largest lounge at the airport, and it doesn't feel like it's cutting corners to hit that scale.

Food that's actually Austrian

Rather than a generic buffet, Vienna Lounge runs a seasonal menu built around premium Austrian products, with hot and cold dishes prepared in-lounge rather than trucked in. There are fresh-baked pastries, wraps, and salads throughout the day, a fully tended bar pouring beer, wine, and spirits, and the kitchen accommodates common allergies and dietary restrictions on request.

Is it worth visiting?

Vienna Lounge is open to any passenger regardless of ticket class or airline, and a three-year winning streak from real traveler reviews is a hard thing to fake. If you're connecting through VIE, it's one of the more reliably excellent lounges anywhere in the Priority Pass network.
